Hi, I'm afraid that I've not been very active on the internet for a long time now - life has just been a little messy and I've let a lot of stuff go. The Tarocchino domain sadly didn't get renewed in time and is now something I'll have to give up on.
However, the project of presenting tarot games is back underway, with all the accounts being re-written to some extent, further standardizing conventions of play and Anglicizing their language. I can't say just how soon that will come to fruition but I have decided to give priority to an offshoot project.
I've discovered that about a year ago, a UK based games design company (River Horse) published a new tarot pack called The Tarot of Loka - it is an interesting fusion of traditional themes, modern playing card design, and fantasy elements that relate it to their chess variant, also called Loka. Best of all, it is being marketed for game play!
Although produced to a very high standard, the little booklet that comes with the Loka includes very little by way games. wishing to support an effort like this, albeit a little late in the day, I have decided to re-write a good selection of the games referring specifically to these cards. This is coming along nicely and I plan to post them to a blog of some kind before formatting them for free download ebooks and print (as per my previous effort any Print-On-Demand editions will have a not-for-profit price and the pdf will be available should anyone know of a cheaper printer they would rather use).
Once I'm back on the main project, I'll also start by posting the different accounts on a blog - just in case anyone wants to help out by spotting my mistakes (it never fails to amaze me how hard it is to error check my own work - its as if my brain is reading what it expects to be there instead of what is actually on the page). Once I'm happy with it, then again, I'll start formatting it for people to download.
